Varshets is situated in the western part of the Balkan Range at an altitude of 393 m above the sea level, only 100 km far from Sofia. It has a moderately continental climate. The waters of the mineral springs are hypothermal with general mineralization of 196.6 mg/l or homothermal (with temperatures of the human body 36-37°C). They contain hydro carbonate, sodium sulphate and nitrates. This spa is suitable for the treatment of functional conditions of the central nervous system, cardiovascular diseases, endocrine disorders and disturbances of the metabolism.
