Varna Airport is located at the northern Bulgarian Black Sea coast, just 8 km away from Varna – the Summer Capital of Bulgaria. It is at the heart of a highly developed business community, close to leading Bulgarian summer resorts and transport facilities.

     A contract for the construction of the New Passenger Terminal Areas at Burgas and Varna airports has been signed on 15 November 2011. The construction of the new passenger terminals at Varna and Burgas airports is going to commence in December of the current year, and in the works only on the territory of the two airports 500 workers and employees are expected to be involved. It is planned for the summer season `2013 the guests of Varna and Burgas airports to be welcomed in and sent from the new buildings
