Ethnographic Museum Shop

Here you will find a rich selection of gifts covering Bulgaria’s traditional crafts: everything from Troyan pottery to hand embroidered blouses and filigree jewellery, icons and pictures.

Traditzia (36, Vassil Levski Blvd.)

This charity gallery offers a selection of hand made gifts that are made by local artisans or children and adults in social institutions. For many the proceeds from the sale of their items not only gives them much needed additional income but also a sense of dignity and pride. Run by volunteers from the international community, you will be sure to find someone who speaks your language.

Dara (32, Shipka Str.)

The shop offers a stylish selection of gifts for all occasions, some made by local artists, and others imported.

Carpet House (193, Rakovski Str. and 38, Rakovski Str.)

One can find a great selection of traditional Chiprovtsi rugs at reasonable prices here. They also have contemporary designs. All kilims ("carpets") and rugs are handwoven locally. For custom orders it takes about two months.
