  Nessebar is one of the most ancient towns in Europe. It is included in the UNESCO's World Heritage List. It was founded as a Thracian village, but later becomes an important Greek trade colony and they gave a new name to the town - Messembria. In the centuries that followed, it was conquered consecutively by the Romans, Bulgarians and Ottomans. During the walking tour among the cobbled streets, You will enjoy the traditional house architecture and will see remains from several medieval castles and churches, which once during the years counted the total number of 41 (forty-one). If you want, you will be able to visit the archeological museum, ethnographical museum and some of the churches. An interesting symbol is the old wind mill, located in the beginning of the old part of the town.

Sozopol is the oldest colony founded by the Ancient Greeks on the Black Sea coast. It is a small town, with beautiful beaches and special spirit. The old greek name of the town is Apolonia. You will enjoy the walk among the cobbled streets, old traditional houses and the romantic atmosphere, which attracts visitors from the whole world. You will have the chance to see the medieval church “Virgin Mary”, which was built in 15-th century and is a monument under the protection of UNESCO, and many other beautiful sites. Sozopol is also a cultural center of the South Black Sea. Here, every September is held the big international art festival “Apolonia”, which gathers people from all over the country and abroad.

The many places for having coffee or lunch, as well as souvenir shops, will satisfy every guest, every taste!

It will be a wonderful mix of Bulgarian folklore and world famous evergreen songs! The program will include also the “Nestinar” dances – dancers playing on a hot charcoal, something which Bulgaria is famous with. Be ready to dance and sing, don’t be shy, You are good! The food is good and enough too, You will see!

TWO-DAY EXCURSION TO ISTANBUL (TURKEY)

Did You notice on the map…that Nessebar is just 5-6 hours away from one of the biggest metropolitans in the world – ISTANBUL! First, of course, You will have to get the proper documentation in order to visit Turkey and then…We’ll be able to make for You one quick,cheap and nice excursion to one of the most interesting cities in the world, the bridge between Europe and Asia, between the Western Culture and the Orient! Here is the program of tour:


DAY 1 – Departure at 8,00 am from Tzarevo. Arrival in the afternoon in Istanbul – a huge cosmopolitan city, former capital of three empires, world famous with its past and present. Panoramic bus-tour of Istanbul, during which You will be able to see: “Sultan Ahmed” Square, The Egyptian Market, “Galata” Tower, “Taksim” Square, “Dolmabahche” Palace and, crossing the Bosphore, the Yedi Tepe (“tepe” means “hill” in Turkish) will be reached. Coffee-break in the Asian part of the city, a place with wonderful panoramic view on the Bosphore and the European continent. Arrival at the hotel. Only on request – Turkish Night in the famous “Orient House” restaurant, begins at 20,00 o’clock.


DAY 2 – Breakfast. Free time in Istanbul:
Only on request – a ship-tour through the Bosphore, during which You will be able to see: The New Sultan Palace “Dolmabahche”, “Chiraan Palace” – former residence of the sultan (turned into a luxury hotel nowadays), “Ortakyoi” District – favorite place of the istanbulian young people and creators, the defensive castles “Rumeli Hissar” and “Anadolu Hissar”, The Summer Sultan Palace “Beylerbeyi”, The “Virgin Tower”.
Free time time in Istanbul after the end of the ship-tour or:
Only on request – a walking tour in the old European part of Istanbul with a local guide. During the tour You will be able to see: The Hippodrome – the live-center of the city, The Blue Mosque – the only mosque in Turkey with 6 minarets, “Top Kapa”- the heart of the Ottoman Empire and at the end – “Hagia Sofia”, the most famous church of the Byzantine Empire.
At 17,00 o’clock – departure towards Tzarevo. Arrival there at around midnight.
