Such an event does not occur so often – a performer to get several minutes of applause of the public, all people standing, before he has even performed a note. That is precisely what happened in the overfilled Ancient Theatre on the rainy evening of September 21, 2011, at the start of Tarya Turunen’s concert, which continued with performances of quite different types – from Mozart to the Finnish star’s new rock album. This is the start of a new musical forum, that will take place annually – a whole campaign of the organizers from Tangra Mega Rock. Its purpose is to gather fans of rock music and art in the last days of summer season for a few unforgettable days in the Old Plovdiv. The forum enlivens the Ancient Theatre – one of the architectural and cultural treasures of the country, in an epic and grandiose show with light effects and perfect sound.
