Located in the southeastern part of modern Varna Roman Thermae (bathrooms) are the largest antique public building ever found in Bulgaria. Relatively well-preserved walls outline an imposing building raised more than 7000 sq. m. The ruins have attracted the attention of many historians and archaeologists before starting excavations. Palaestra of the baths were open spacious courtyards surrounded by colonnades and shops serving the visitors.
