In 1891 was the official opening of the first Bulgarian museum in Sofia. Since then Bulgarian people have witnessed the opening of dozens of new representative exhibitions in quite diverse areas - there are fascinating museums dedicated not only to history, culture and life, but also to speleology and palaeontology, sea salt, yogurt, wines, drugs, etc. The greatest jewels among such exhibitions are of course in large cities - Sofia, Plovdiv, Veliko Tarnovo. Nevertheless, going to some of the small local museums has its charm - to visit for example the museum of ceramic works in the small village of Busintsi 90 km from Sofia means to be the only client met from local custodians with disarming hospitality.
