Exhibition: Hindliyanova House is among the most interesting examples of Baroque architecture in Plovdiv. It is built in 1835-1840 for the needs of the wealthy Plovdiv tradesman Stepan Hindliyan – nicknamed after his cantors in distant India. Today it is among the most interesting museums in Plovdiv, representing the original interior of the local houses from 19th century. On both floors you may see wonderful fresco art, work of two local masters – landscapes from Alexandria, Istanbul, Venice, Bagdad – places the owner has visited. Selected from the collections: one of the few well preserved indoor bathrooms from 19th century, beautiful rose fountain on the second floor.
