Domaine Boyar is established in 1991 and performs its business simultaneously in Sofia and London. In the course of several years it became a leading commercial company trading in Bulgarian wines, with considerable contribution to their promotion on the prestigious markets in Western Europe, USA, Canada and Japan. In 1992 Domaine Boyar obtained the consent of Tsar Simeon II to put the regal family's coat of arms on wines selected, traded and later on produced by Domaine Boyar. This laid the beginning of the prestigious Tsar Selection of the company.

     At the end of 2000 Domaine Boyar LTD and its associated English company Boyar International Limited merged with Vinprom Ruse AD, owned by the American company Seaboard Corporation. The newly established company Boyar Estates is the biggest producer and exporter of Bulgarian wines for the western markets. In the recent years the company started to develop actively also the East European markets.
