Breznik is a town in Western Bulgaria, 50 km away from Sofia. It is located in Pernik Province and is close to the towns of Bankya and Pernik. It has 4,500 inhabitants. The town of Breznik is located in a valley, the climate is mild and pleasant. There are some micro dams - Begunovtsi, Slakovtsi, Konska, Krasava, Izvor and Breznik. The area has lot of potentialities for tourist activities.
Landmarks
One of the famous natural and tourist landmark is a park Bardoto. The area is famous with the "iron" mineral water. Some of the other interesting landmarks are Sveta Petka Church, the class school, the megalith temple-well Pusto Garlo, Curnogorski and Bilinski monasteries, ruins of mediaeval churches and a lot of houses with architectural and art value. The beautiful nature and the resources are creating good conditions for rural, cultural and hunting tourism. |
