Bulgarian Art is amazing!

     Represented by rich collections of icons from any phase of Byzantine and Bulgarian iconography and other orthodox artwork. By the precious decorated textiles, sculptures and frescoes of Bulgarian Revival masters. Even though not quite famous throughout Europe and the West, Bulgarian modern artists have also created wonderful works contributing to the world art scene. Those include Vladimir Dimitrov - young boy from poor family with great talent, his fellow colleagues and friends collected the money for his education in art. Zlatyu Boyadzhiev - another brilliant artist. And many more. Their works you can see in numerous galleries throughout Bulgaria.

     Along with works of world renowned masters like Renoir, Picasso, Manet, etc. contemporary art is also on the rise with the opening of the newest gallery in Sofia in the autumn of 2011, housed in refurbished old villa.
